No Auspicious work till April 2021

Weddings, house-warming ceremonies and engagements are the very soul of Indian culture. All auspicious ceremonies especially marriage should be undertaken in best muhurta for a comfortable life ahead. The upcoming time from 15th Dec 2020 to 13th April 2021 will not be auspicious for holding any ceremony like Grah Pravesh (House warming ceremony), buying new vehicles, Property Registration, Jalwa, Starting new business and mainly marriage. Many people are planning their marriage on Basant Panchami day considering it as auspicious but I want to caution everyone to not choose this day for tying a lifelong bond. There are various astrological reasons behind not undertaking any auspicious work especially marriage during this time period.

Dec 15 to Jan 14 – Dhanuramaas (Kharmaas)

Jan 17 to Feb 13 – Combust Jupiter

Feb 14 to April 18 – Combust Venus

March 14 to April 13- Kharmaas

Let’s discuss this chain of events which are making marriages forbidden.

1.According to Hindu scriptures, Jupiter is the major planet which should be placed in harmony for any auspicious tasks. From Dec 15 to Jan 14, Sun will transit through Sagittarius (Jupiter’s mooltrikona). It is popularly known as dhanurmas in India. This time period is very good for spirituality and immersing yourself in the nectar of meditation. Taking bath in holy rivers and donations should be undertaken during this time. However, performing marriages is forbidden as time is apt for fulfilling dharma and spirituality.

Astrologically, Sun is a hot planet and Sagittarius is a fiery sign. Sun in Sagittarius is an event when fire meets fire. Sagittarius is a natural 9th house of zodiac. Therefore, this time is suitable for spirituality and dharma. You shouldn’t opt for the kama related activities such as marriage and even house warming during this time period.

Let me explain you the scientific reason behind it.

Jupiter also contains hydrogen and helium just like sun. The centre of Jupiter also contains hydrogen like sun. Now once in a year, there is a aggregation of similar energies which impact the earth and human mind too. Therefore, the auspicious works are stopped during this time.

2. Jupiter combust (Jan 17 to 13 Feb)

No auspicious tasks can be undertaken without the bliss of Jupiter. After Jan 17, Jupiter and Sun will be together in Capricorn making Jupiter combust. As Jupiter and Sun are very near to each other, it actually affects the fruits of Jupiter. The most benefic planet in the whole cosmos will not be able to deliver its results. In the ancient Indian scriptures, it has been clearly mentioned that performing marriage during Asta Jupiter (Combust Jupiter) will not reap good results. The beneficence of Jupiter reduces highly during this time and performing marriage or any other auspicious tasks such as house warming or Roka ceremony is not good.

3.Venus Combust (Feb 14 -April 18)

Venus is a planet of love, romance and marriage. It symbolises the understanding and connectivity between two souls. When it comes near to Sun, many of its characteristics got affected and it is not able to deliver good results. The fiery rays of sun actually burn the good effects of Venus and performing marriage during this time is not at all auspicious. Venus is the main significator of spouse and marriage irrespective of the fact whether you are a male or female. It is crucial that Venus should be well placed and in good harmony when marriage function takes place.

Also, there is another kharmaas between March 14 – April 13 which is forbidden for marriage too. So, this time is altogether not at all auspicious for marriage.
