Expertise of an Expert
People often ask us what sets us above our contemporaries. I am narrating a conversation with one of my clients.
Client: Maharaj Ji, please explain why shall I pay more for your consultation? I only need my horoscope to be prepared.
Me: Computer software can also prepare your horoscope. Why you came to me?
Client: Because I want a detailed analysis of my horoscope and I also want to know about the effects of planets on my life.
Me: Can you do it by yourself?
Client: I don’t have the expertise.
Me: When you hire a professional, you are not just hiring the expertise but also years of hard work and dedication to hone that experience. It is our experience and hard work that sets us above our contemporaries.
Client: Please forgive, so I shall pay you more because you are hard-working?

Client: No. Maharaj Ji. But that other pandit ji does know and they charge less.
Me: When you purchase a shirt of Luis Phillips brand and one for the local market, do you pay the same?
Client: No. because I pay for the brand and quality of the material.
Me: We are into astrology for 9 generations. When you consult us, you are taking advice from the generation that is committed to your well-being. We believe in your welfare. The puja we do is after deep analysis of your natal chart or the suggestions we give are also available in soft copy. So it’s up to you that you opt for a local brand or a Luis Phillips one.

Every profession is unique and so is every professional. What distinguishes one from another is their perspective and hold on the situation. We should not judge the effort from the finished product but we should also consider the raw materials put into it along with the effort required to collect it and give it the look of a final and authenticate the finished product.
Astrology is the mathematical calculation of the celestial body and if our work was that easy then why would you come to us and not do the calculation by yourself? You cannot estimate the cost by only seeing the finished product. You have to consider every angle before forming an opinion.
