Gajendra Moksh And Astrology
Gajendra moksha is a story of elephant and Lord Vishnu. It has a deep connection with the current situation of Jupiter in Capricorn. Jupiter signifies Guru in your chart. Guru is the one who brings us near to God. Here Guru cannot be given physical embodiment rather it is an abstract idea and can represent many things. Jupiter position offers us a path of devotion to God. But when Jupiter goes to Capricorn, it cannot express itself fully.
This picture of Gajendra exactly represents the situation of Jupiter in Capricorn. As we can see, the Gajendra or elephant is king of the forest and he was drinking water from the river. He is attacked by crocodile (It is also known as makara) and he is unable to get his foot out of crocodile’s mouth. He remembered Lord Vishnu and even after his suffering, he offered him flowers. On the other hand, Lord Vishnu travelling on his Garuda is also pleased to receive obeisance’s from his devotee. At end, he will take him to Vishnu loka.
The present situation of our human existence on earth is same as the Gajendra getting caught in the muddy water of worldly illusion(maya) and attacked by the crocodile (Capricorn), which are trial and tribulations in our life. But we can still work hard under this scenario and defeat the hard circumstances to offer flowers(devotion) to the almighty. In this way, we can experience liberation or enlightenment in life.
People have debilitated Jupiter or Jupiter rahu conjunction or afflicted Jupiter in birth chart should chant Gajendra Moksha. Nowadays, Jupiter the dharma karaka is transiting through the sign of Capricorn. It will remain there till June. Therefore, we all should chant Gajendra Moksha for getting free from sins.
