KARWACHAUTH — CELEBRATION OF RELATIONSHIPS
Today we are all celebrating auspicious festival of Karwachauth. The word Karwachauth is formed with combination of two words- Karwa plus Chauth. As name suggests, Karwa means earthen pot and Chauth means 4th Lunar day. Karwachauth is observed on 4th day after Sharad Purnima which comes out to be Chaturthi tithi. The day is of utmost importance to Indian Women as all pray for the long life of the husband. The festival symbolizes the high cultural value of relationships in our society.

This year Karwachauth will be celebrated in Sarvarthasiddhi yoga under influence of Mrigashira Nakshatra. The nakshatra of Mrigashira is a soft nakshatra ruled by Mars. The day is Wednesday and hence blessed by Lord Ganesha. The Chaturthi tithi is also ruled by Lord Ganesha. Hence attaining blessings of Shiv Parivar with Ganesha Idol on this day makes our relationship/marriage more stable and fulfilling.
