Life is easy, live with passion and values
For the past few weeks, I was thinking to write on this topic after seeing the present condition due to Covid-19. I understand that work is limited and many people are facing difficulties but as Shri Krishna said, no situation is permanent. Have faith, have the courage and trust yourself. Life of Shri Krishna is an inspiration for everyone, anyone can learn from His life, especially our youngsters who are starting their journey into the materialistic world.
Let’s give a quick look to the Life of Shri Krishna. He was born in prison, separated from his mother, brought up in a village with no formal education. Many tried to kill him since his early childhood. Means, every hardship that you can think of was there for Him, but he never complained. He worked hard for the betterment of everybody, even till His last day. Shri Krishna gave the ultimate knowledge in the form of Geeta Upadesh and taught us to set goals for the greater good.
Let’s discuss a few things that our youngsters can learn from His life.
- Do not seek justification because the world is not just. You have to make do with what life has given to you. Complaining will not solve anything.
- Hard work and dedication have no alternative. There is no shortcut to success. You can overcome the hardship through hard work.
- Have patience. Shri Krishna always smiled, even in adverse situations, because being impatient will not solve anything, rather it will give you stress and tension. Have faith in your intellect and hard work.
- Karma — If you are on the right path and hot hurting anybody, focus on the task at hand without thinking of consequences.
- Problem-solving approach — Instead of sitting back and complain, come out of your comfort zone to solve the problem.
- Take care of your health — health is the most important wealth of your life. Shri Krishna showed this in His entire life on earth.
- Stick to your roots — Always, always remember your roots and where you have come from. Shri Krishna even after becoming a King, always remembered His humble upbringing.
- Plan and formulate — Formulate practical plans as per your capabilities, set goals for the greater good and give your 100% to achieve those goals. Divide a big goal into several small attainable goals for better results. Shri Krishna had one goal — Dharma on earth. He divided that goal into many small goals and achieved all through His intellect and hard work.
- Friendship — believe it or not but friends are boon from the Almighty. They stand for you in the time of problems and give you support when needed. Friends can open doors to new avenues.
- Learning — do not stop learning until your last breath. In school, college, office or professional life, keep learning, keep yourself updated because life is the name of continuous changes. Technology or rules, always keep yourself updated.
- Mastery of skill — Any skill or trait that you might need in your professional life, master it because you will need it throughout your life. Sharpen your skill. Shri Krishna was master of many skills. He was a warrior, a teacher, an artist, preacher amongst many other things. My point is, whatever you do in life, make yourself perfect in that line of work.
- Communication — In today’s world, communication is the key to all doors. Effective communication can open those doors that you consider impossible to open. You can convince, you can get work or get anything done if you know how to communicate better. Shri Krishna convinced Arjun to fight against Kauravas through communication. He did not pressure, He did not order but spoke to Arjun in a comprehensible manner.
Let me conclude here with few more words; always be positive in life, plan for the future but live in the present. Stay on the right path, do not harm others for personal gains and work in a way that is good for many. Bhagwat Geeta is very relevant in today’s world, read it when you can.
