Shiva -The Adi Guru of Indian religion is full of leadership qualities that present managers should inculcate for powerful leadership. He is the contrast of all the extremes from a developed synergy of the moon and Ganga to coiled snake and ghosts, Nagas, Yakshas, Pramathis or Pisachas as his subordinates.

Teachings of Lord Shiva

  1. The Lord controls the entire world, meditates as well as is a responsible family deity. He teaches equilibrium between personal and professional life.

2. Ocean churning for ‘nectar’ brought all Gods, Goddess, and Devils together, emphasizing on the importance of team-work to become a successful manager. Mahadev drank poison to set an example of strong will & determination, had this poison fallen on this Earth it would have resulted in great destruction.

3. Diluting pressure to have a focused concentration is achieved through meditation, practiced by the ‘Adi Yoga Guru’.

4. ‘Rudra Avtar’ of the Lord teaches to be fearless and risk-bearer when situation advice so.

5. Incorporation of ‘Ganga’ on the head along with ‘The Moon’ prompts an always cool attitude with a wise delegation of responsibilities after considering one’s capabilities.

6. ‘The Third Eye’ is the balanced combination of concentration, meditation, and destruction. The mortal managers can activate it through meditation to guide their temperament and judgment for their decisions making process.

7. ‘The Snake’ symbolizes creation, preservation, and resurrection. The skin changing process is painful but is necessary, similar to tough-decision making skills. ‘Coiled snake’ around neck denotes control on power, fickle nature, and subdued negativity.

8. The ardhanarishvara points equal importance to all the employees irrespective of their gender.

9. A sticking contrast of effective performance amongst all the negativity could be learned through ‘Ash’ covered appearance of Lord Shiva with ‘Ganas’ as his subordinates.

10. The presence of Shiva at ‘Shamshana’ teaches mercy and compassion for better mortal life and successful career.
