WHY SHOULD YOU SHIFT TO A VEGAN DIET?

The outbreak of pandemic Coronavirus has again started discussion that whether world should shift to our ancient roots of India. Our ancient sages had always advocated eating plant-based diet consisting purely of natural elements which detoxifies our system and keep us away from harmful viruses. WHO has also said that a vegan diet reduces the risk of many chronic degenerative diseases and conditions, including heart disease, cancer, obesity, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes.

But countries like China has been involved killing of all types of animals and taking them to dinner table. According to PETA, outbreaks of Wuhan Coronavirus, SARS and other similar viruses have originated from China’s wet market (where both alive and dead animals are present). The animals are slaughtered in front of customers which expose people to various forms of infection. According to a news agency CNN, people who were first infected were workers at local seafood market which deals in various animals such as pigs, sheeps, bats, reptiles, camels etc.

Scientists are warning people that in 2050, more people are going to die of such antibiotic resistant diseases than cancer. UN has remarked that 70% of new human diseases originated in animals and that many of those were directly linked to animals used as food.WHO has said that processed meat causes cancer.Witnessing such negative effects of animal based diet,we should take a pledge that we will shift to plant based diet in coming days for welfare of mankind.
